NACA EQUITATION HELMET - OVERVIEW

A quick overview of the models I created for the online configurator at nacahelmet.com
It was a nice challenge to be able to chose between 4 visors, 2 jugular setups, diamond bands on the visors, etc. It adds up a lot and you have to work tidily or it's strictly impossible.
The carbon doesn't look amazing because I'm using the normal map as an anisotropy map. Couldn't use multiple UVs either, that explains some of the weirdness in the UVs.

Promo Reel to advertise the Kevlar version of the helmet.

It was really interesting trying to warp the UVs to match the way the "sergé" carbon pattern would bend during production and onto the finished product.

No uniform texel density on this project, I wanted to be able to show the smallest attention to details on points of interest.
